Ottumwa Police Looking For Alleged Murderer

An Ottumwa PD Press Release – Homicide Investigation

On Sunday, January 04, 2015, at approximately 2:31 a.m., the Ottumwa Police Department responded to the 400 Block of North Market Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found one person at the scene had sustained several gunshot wounds.

The victim was identified as Roger Wiseman JR, age 25, of 307 N. Market, Ottumwa. Wiseman was transported to the Ottumwa Regional Health Center where he later died.

As a result of the investigation, the Ottumwa Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Dustin William McDanel, age 24, of Ottumwa, for Murder 1st Degree. McDanel is considered by law enforcement as armed and dangerous.
