Community 1st Credit Union Names Jeff Rose as New President/CEO

OTTUMWA, IA – The Community 1st Credit Union board of directors has named Jeff Rose, a 30-year executive in the banking industry, as president/CEO of the 16-branch, Ottumwa-based credit union.

Rose, who most recently was president/CEO of Southeast National Bank in the Quad Cities for almost four years, will begin his new duties immediately. Prior to his position at the Moline, Ill. bank, Rose was president/CEO at First Bank in West Des Moines.

“Speaking on behalf of the C1st board of directors, I am very pleased to welcome Jeff Rose as our new president/CEO,” said Jason Eubanks, chairman of the board. “With his extensive knowledge of finances and leadership abilities, he is an excellent choice to lead our credit union in the exciting years ahead.”

An Iowa native who graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines and the University of Iowa with a degree in finance, Rose earned an MBA at the University of North Texas in Denton. Ten years at Wells Fargo Bank took him to executive management positions in Dallas, Los Angeles and Houston before returning to Iowa in 2002 at US Bank in Des Moines.

“I’m excited with the opportunity to lead Community 1st Credit Union and its more than 190 dedicated employees,” said Rose. “There’s a strong pride here that complements an impressive, 78-year history. I look forward to continued growth and providing our members the highest level of service possible.”

Community 1st Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative with more than $500 million in assets. The credit union, established in 1936, serves more than 50,000 members.

The credit union has branches in Albia, Amana, Bloomfield, Cedar Rapids, Centerville, Chariton, Fairfield, Grinnell, Indianola, Mount Pleasant, Oskaloosa, Ottumwa, Pella and Washington.
