MHP’s Free Women’s Breast Health Night on Oct. 22
MAHASKA COUNTY – There is still time to register for Mahaska Health Partnership’s Free Women’s Breast Health Night on Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Oskaloosa.
“We hope to have a large turnout for this event, as it will be very beneficial for women of all ages who are looking for more information about their overall health,” said MHP Marketing Director Cathy Stahl. “There is plenty of room at the church where we are holding this event, so we want to encourage women to attend and bring their friends. We simply ask for pre-registration so we can be prepared.”
This free event is open to all women, and will feature delicious hors d’oeuvres, fun door prizes as well as potentially life-saving information about screenings and women’s general health. Stahl said the featured speaker is Family Practice Physician Dr. Bridget Shariat.
“Dr. Shariat is a very passionate individual who pays close attention to her patients’ needs and ensures she is thorough with their medical history,” Stahl said. “She is an asset to MHP and will be a key factor in helping to grow our overall women’s health practice tremendously in the near future.”
The Free Women’s Breast Health Night is sponsored, in part, by a grant from the Southeast Iowa Affiliate of Komen for the Cure. There will also be a survivor sharing her story at the event. Attendance is free but pre-registration is required. Call 641.672.3369 or visit mahaskahealth.org to register.
