GRINNELL’S SARAH BURNELL NAMED MIDWEST CONFERENCE WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Sarah Burnell ’14 of Grinnell, Iowa (Grinnell HS) has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Cross Country Performer of the Week.
Burnell finished 20th in a 251-runner field to lead the Pioneers at the competitive St. Olaf Invitational Saturday. She had a clocking of 23:33 and currently ranks third in the MWC. Her efforts helped the Pioneers to an eighth-place team finish.
Dakota Pruitt of Carroll University was named the MWC Men’s Cross Country Performer of the Week.
