IOWA SPEEDWAY TO INCLUDE COLLEGE STUDENTS IN ‘FAN APPRECIATION WEEKEND’ OFFER
(NEWTON, Iowa – August 20, 2013) Iowa Speedway’s ‘Fan Appreciation Weekend’ on Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8 will now include a special ticket offer for students enrolled in colleges and universities, according to track officials.
A ticket for any grandstand seat at the Newton facility is now just $5.00 for college students with student identification, and the offer is valid at either Saturday’s ‘Prairie Meadows 150’ ARCA Series stock car race and Sunday’s ‘Iowa 200 presented by New Holland’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event.
“Our ‘Fan Appreciation’ weekend evolved from a simple desire to thank the fans for making this an outstanding race season,” said Chuck Spicer, Iowa Speedway Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “Besides free admission for ages 17 and younger and military personnel, we decided to give college students a good reason to sample our product with this ‘five dollars for any seat in the house’ offer. We are expecting a big crowd on both days, and look forward to welcoming everyone to our last race weekend of 2013.”
Tickets for both the ‘Iowa 200 presented by New Holland’, scheduled for a 1:00 pm start on Sunday, September 8, and the ‘Prairie Meadows 150’, slated for 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 7, start at $20 for adults and are available online at www.iowaspeedway.com, or by calling the track’s toll-free ticketing hotline at 866-RUSTY-GO (787-8946). Tickets are also available at the Iowa Speedway Ticket Office, located at 3333 Rusty Wallace Drive in Newton, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
