Oskaloosa–The Statesmen played .750 ball last week, but that was not good enough to keep it in its same spot as the NAIA released its third regular season coaches’ poll Tuesday.

William Penn (16-8) won three of four contests last week, but still fell two positions to #28 with 66 points. Fellow Midwest Collegiate Conference program St. Ambrose is also in the ‘receiving votes’ section, tying for 37th with seven points.

Concordia (Calif.) is still #1 with 590 points and 19 first-place votes. Cal State-San Marcos, Lubbock Christian (Texas), with the final two first-place votes, Lee (Tenn.), and Williams Baptist (Ark.) round out the top five.

William Penn is at home Wednesday, opening its MCC season with a doubleheader against Clarke beginning at 5:30 p.m.
