Harms Named Finalist For National Coach of the Year

Oskaloosa Head Softball Coach, Jay Harms, has been selected as one of the eight finalists from across the nation for the 2013 National Softball Coach of the Year Award. The winner of this prestigious award will be announced on June 26 at the 2013 National High School Athletic Coaches’ Association Convention, held this year at the Des Moines Holiday Inn Airport. This season Harms begins his 28th year as Oskaloosa’s Head Softball Coach and his 34th year of coaching softball. In 2012, along with winning the Little Hawkeye Conference Softball Championship, Harms was recognized for achieving his 700th career softball victory and was named 4A District Coach of the Year.
