Oskaloosa–Gabriel Green (Sr., Anniston, Ala., Business Management) was the best sprinter in the building last weekend, and for his extraordinary performances he was named Midwest Collegiate Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week Monday.

Green, now a 12-time career weekly recipient (twice this year), earned the accolade by winning two events and placing second in another at the Cornell Hilltop Invitational last Saturday.

The senior crossed the line first in both the 60-meter dash (6.95 seconds) and the 200-meter dash (22.66 seconds), while his 400-meter dash time of 51.65 seconds was good for second.

Green’s 60 time eclipsed the NAIA’s ‘B’ standard, while his 200 showing was thus far the best of his senior campaign. The sprinter currently ranks tenth in the nation in the 60-meter dash with a previous time of 6.92 seconds.

The award is the fifth for the program this year.
