GRINNELL’S ALISSA HIRSH NAMED MWC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Alissa Hirsh ’16 has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Basketball Performer of the Week.

Hirsh, a 5-4 guard from Skokie, Ill. (Niles North), had a pair of big performances for the Pioneers over the week, scoring 17 points on two occasions. She was 8-of-12 from the field in a 94-75 victory over Knox College and nearly had a double-double as she finished with nine assists with no turnovers. She also had two steals.

Hirsh followed with another 17-point performance against Beloit College when she was 7-of-8 from the free throw line and had five assists.

The Men’s Performer of the Week is Taylor Koth of Ripon College.
