Paul Roozeboom

Obituary:
Paul Henry Roozeboom was born July 26, 1946 in Beach Grove, Indiana the son of Albert and Martha (Scotten) Roozeboom.
He attended Camelback High School in Phoenix, Arizona for several years before his family moved to Pleasantville where he graduated from high school. Following high school, Paul worked on the construction crew that built the Red Rock Dam. He later moved to California, then Arizona where he married Robin DeMoss VanBaale. Robin had two children, Michelle and Amy and together Paul and Robin had two sons, Tony and Ryan. In Arizona, Paul worked in the automotive air conditioning business. In 1975 he returned to Knoxville and worked for Vermeer and Pella Corporation. He was currently employed as a welder for Weiler Industries of Knoxville.
In his spare time, Paul enjoyed woodworking, photography and nature. His favorite part of nature was the majestic beauty of eagles. Paul’s greatest joys in life were the Lord and his grandchildren. He cherished having both in his life every day.
Paul passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at his home at the age of 64 years.
He was preceded in death by his father and three nephews: Kent Joseph Veenstra, Donald Dean Light and Colin Keith Arkema.
Those left to honor his memory include his children: Tony (Jill) Roozeboom, Ryan (Kim) Roozeboom, Michelle (Jeff) Bishop and Amy (Josh) Gutcher all of Knoxville; 9 grandchildren: Faith, Luke, Brock and Brady Roozeboom; Kylee and Kairee Bishop and Mallorie, Tyler and Alexa Sander; mother, Martha Roozeboom of Knoxville; his siblings: Katrina (Les) Veenstra, of Pella; Shari (Nick) Arkema of Pella, Andrea (Neil) Rankin of Knoxville, Elaine (Darrel) Stanton of Knoxville and Martha (Mike) Paul of Des Moines and many other family members and friends.
