Central College faculty present The Egg Book

PELLA — Central College faculty will hold an exhibition on the theme of the egg. The exhibit starts Monday, Feb. 7, and runs through Friday, Feb. 11. The event is free and open to the public and gallery hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The idea was conceived last year when Ian Boyden, the Allison B. Allen visiting artist and bookmaker, visited Central. The Egg Book was a collaborative effort, with poetry supplied by Walter Cannon, professor of English; Keith Ratzlaff, professor of English; and Joshua Dolezal, associate professor of English. Artists include Brian Roberts, associate professor of art; Mat Kelly, assistant professor of art; and Treva Reimer, professor of art.

An artist talk and reception will be held at the gallery Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 5:30 p.m. Boyden, a guest lecturer, presenting “From Rust to Dust: Reading an Iron Meteorite” Thursday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. in Cox-Snow Recital Hall, will join them.
