Mahaska Connect 2026

OSKALOOSA – Love In the Name of Christ of Mahaska County has set Saturday, Nov. 14 for the seventh annual Mahaska Connect event. This year’s theme is “Building a Foundation for your Future.” Mahaska Connect will be held at Fellowship Bible Church, 1000 A Avenue West in Oskaloosa from 9-1 p.m.

As in past years attendees will be able to apply for birth certificates, housing information, Medicaid and food stamps, WIC information, get wellness screenings, flu vaccinations, find out about delivery and transportation services, employment, mental health, spiritual resources and much more, including a delicious lunch. Representatives from a variety of services will be in attendance to assist in giving a hand in building the foundation for your future.

Transportation to and from Mahaska Connect is available by contacting the Love INC Connection Center by noon on Friday, Nov. 13 at 641-676-3750. There is no cost for the lunch, ride or to attend the event.

Don’t let fear paralyze you. Mahaska Connect can help you navigate the waters. Let us come along side to help your life journey work for you as you build the foundation for your future.

Bryan’s story is one of hope and transformation. On an invitation from the local Gideons, he attended Mahaska Connect in 2025. After getting out of jail, he began a journey toward rebuilding his life. He connected with resources that would help him move forward.

Bryan eagerly signed up for The Growing Place, Foundations, Work Life, and Celebrate Recovery. He also worked with Health and Human Services toward reunification with his children and attended drug counseling. His journey has not been easy.

Despite losing all his belongings in a house fire, he remained committed to making positive changes. He took the time to meet with a one-on-one mentor. He helped Love INC with its building project, paid off his fines, completed the steps to regain his driver’s license, and secured a job on a farm through a Love INC connection—a position that also provides housing.

After months of hard work, perseverance, and God’s provision, Bryan recently reached a major milestone: bringing his children home. His story is a powerful reminder that, with faith, determination, and a supportive community, new beginnings are possible. Love INC is grateful to have been part of his journey toward hope, stability, and restoration.

Love INC of Mahaska County is a partnership of local churches, providing an opportunity for those who need services from medical to housing, or just someone to talk to at Mahaska Connect.

Mahaska Connect is the vehicle to help you thrive—not just survive. For more information, contact the Connection Center at Love INC, located at 1901 A Avenue West or call 641-676-3750.
