Oskaloosa boys golf bounces back at Edmundson after rough weekend

OSKALOOSA — After a tough showing at Bos Landen over the weekend, the Oskaloosa boys golf team came back Monday at Edmundson and looked a lot better.

The Indians finished 4th on the day and cut nearly 50 strokes off their previous team score, which was a big step in the right direction. It wasn’t perfect, and there are still things to clean up, but the improvement was easy to see.

Linus Morrison led Osky with a 79. His round didn’t start great, but he settled in and played much better as it went on. Marshall Seibert followed with an 81, Ethan VanderLinden carded an 83, and Colton Shaffer finished with an 88.

On the JV side, Collin Netland and Jaxon Saville both came in with rounds of 85.

The team is starting to figure some things out, even if it doesn’t always show up right away on every hole. A few bad swings or penalties are still costing them, but overall the scores are trending the right way.

Oskaloosa doesn’t get much time to sit on this one, as they head to Williamsburg next.
