Trio of Dutch players earn all-conference volleyball honors

PELLA- Three members of the Central College women’s volleyball team were selected to the American Rivers All-Conference first-team Tuesday.

Outside hitter Leslie Snow (senior, Olivia, Minn., BOLD HS) libero Colleen Kenney (senior, Taylor Ridge, Ill., Rock Island Alleman HS) and middle hitter Kaitlyn Mumm (junior, Waukee, Des Moines Christian HS) were the athletes selected.

Snow led the Dutch and was third in the A-R-C with 108 kills in eight conference matches. She also had 109 digs with double-doubles in seven matches. It’s her first all-conference selection

Kenney led Central and was second in the conference with 171 digs this season with a 5.52 average per set. She added 31 assists and five service aces in eight conference matches. This is Kenney’s third consecutive season being first team all-conference.

Playing just five conference matches, Mumm was eighth in the league with a .277 hitting percentage. She had 44 kills on 112 swings. She was also involved in nine blocks with four service aces.

The Dutch finished 5-3 in conference play and in a tie for third place.
