Oskaloosa Girls Wrestling Faces Tough Test Against DCG

The Oskaloosa High School girls wrestling team traveled to Dallas Center-Grimes (DCG) on Thursday night for a conference dual, competing with just three healthy wrestlers in their lineup. Despite their determination, the short-handed Osky squad fell to DCG by a final score of 64-6.
Individual Performance

Mia Luck provided the highlight of the night for Oskaloosa. Wrestling in the 135-pound weight class, Luck earned a hard-fought victory over Sabrina Macke with a pin at 3:11, securing the team’s lone points of the dual.
Challenges in the Lineup

With limited available athletes, Oskaloosa was forced to forfeit several weight classes, allowing DCG to build a substantial lead through unopposed wins. In contested matches, Alyssa Sheets at 105 pounds and Jaylynn Kerr at 120 pounds both battled against tough opponents. Sheets fell by major decision (10-2), while Kerr was pinned in 46 seconds.
