Emma Lou Daniels, daughter of Thomas Spratt and Anna Holliday, was born August 19, 1944 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She was a 1962 graduate of Oskaloosa High School and a graduate of the Ottumwa Beauty School. After college Emma opened her own salon in Oskaloosa called, Emma Lou’s New You, that she owned and operated until her retirement. Emma was married to Lonzo Daniels September 1, 1962, and had two sons, Don and Douglas. Emma enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, fishing, bowling (of which she bowled many years in league), and enjoyed her many customers over the years and an occasional outing to the casino. She was a member of the Whirley Birds, a square dancing group in Oskaloosa.
Emma’s family includes her son Don and Dolly Daniels of Oskaloosa, Iowa; two grandchildren, Chris and Ashley Daniels of Oskaloosa, Iowa; three sisters, Connie Spratt of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Sandra Nienkeck of New Sharon, Iowa and Georgia Schroer of the British Virgin Islands, and one brother James Spratt of Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, a son Douglas Daniels, and a brother Tom Spratt.
