Marching Indians Find Success At Valleyfest

Please congratulate the HS Marching Band for their outstanding performance at the Valleyfest Marching Band Invitational on Saturday. The band had its best performance of the year and earned a 3rd place finish in class B. Special recognition to the members of the percussion section for placing second in their caption by less than half a point. The marching band will finish out their competitive year this Saturday with performances at the State Marching Contest in Pella where they will place their 49th consecutive Division 1 streak on the line. Only one band in the state (Valley HS) has a longer streak. Later that evening the band will compete at the Mid-Iowa Marching Band Championships in Ankeny.
