Tough evening for the Oskaloosa Girls Basketball

Oskaloosa’s young Varsity team played tough against a Pella team that was clicking. Pella grabbed the lead early and never looked back as they cruised to victory over the Oskaloosa Varsity Girls.

Oskaloosa’s Kena Veldhuizen was Osky’s leading scorer with 11, Kenzie Gott added 5 more. Allie Christensen provided 2 as did Dana VanRenterghem.

Oskaloosa’s Varsity team is coached by Steve Kaisand, with assistant coaches of Carolyn Pederson and Brandon Schmidt.

Oskaloosa’s JV Girls had a rough one against a strong Pella team falling to them 19 to 46.

Kenzie Seaton lead Oskaloosa’s scoring with 5, and Taylor Crawford adding 4 more as well as Callie Arnold adding 4. 3 other girls added 2 points each Allie Christenson, Kailyn Risher and Chelsea Brandt.

Pella’s Diana Zabrodova was Pella’s leading scorer with 14, while Bri Schroder added 12 of her own. Allie DeMeulenaere provided 9, Sheldon Rozenberg 7, and Heather Van Wyk 4 more.
