60 Children Ages 5-18 Needed for “King Arthur’s Quest”

George Daily Community Auditorium

OSKALOOSA, IA—Calling all kids! Auditions for Missoula Children’s Theatre’s production of King Arthur’s Quest will be on Monday, January 14th at 4:00 p.m. at the George Daily Auditorium. King Arthur, of legend and song, strode across Medieval England with courage and confidence… or did he? What if the troubles of his kingdom threaten to overwhelm him? Join the Knights and Squires of the Round Table as they wrestle with challenge after challenge through a landscape full of surprises!

“Missoula casts around 60 local children in their production and that becomes a great connection between our community and the Professional Season programming. We see these young performers as part of the professional season, and we’re happy to provide the free opportunity to participate,” says Andy McGuire, Education Director at the Auditorium.

The directors come to town laden with sets, props, and makeup- everything needed for a show, except the actors! Approximately 60 students in kindergarten through 12th grade are needed to fill all the roles.

Students wishing to audition need to stay the entire two-hour session. Audition forms will be available in schools, at the George Daily Auditorium, online at www.georgedaily.org, or in the lobby before the audition.

In just one week, students will learn their lines, choreography, and songs for two performances at the end of the week! The performances of King Arthur’s Quest are Saturday, January 19th at 3 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. For ticket information, contact the George Daily Auditorium box office at (641) 672-0799 or online at www.georgedaily.org.

This opportunity is made possible by the Kiwanis Club of Oskaloosa.
