Message from the Mayor
Fellow Oskaloosa Citizens,
The city of Oskaloosa is excited to host families and friends of William Penn graduates this weekend. With the William Penn graduation on Saturday, we will be seeing a large influx of visitors throughout the weekend. I hope we all understand the importance of showing off our community and treating our visitors with a warm and friendly welcome. We as a community should be excited for our graduates and show their families how great it is to live in Oskaloosa.
Let’s build off of what the Clean and Green Committee accomplished this month and make all of Oskaloosa shine. We know that our community has a lot to offer, and showing a clean and neat city is a great start.
Make sure to say hello to our visitors and thank them for coming to town. Talk about all the great things that are happening in Oskaloosa and let them know our town is busy this summer with all of our downtown events. Encourage them to take a stroll downtown and have a nice, relaxing walk on the Mahaska Recreation Trail.
I hope you are as excited for our guests as I am. We wish the best of luck to all of the William Penn graduates and hope they make Oskaloosa their permanent hometown when they are considering their future career aspirations.
Sincerely,
Mayor, David Krutzfeldt
