Marsha M. Lynch, 71, of Oskaloosa, died Monday, November 30, 2015, at the MHP Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. She was born October 30, 1944, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Harold and Lenora Spears Wood.

On April 10, 1960, she was united in marriage to Roger Lynch at her parents’ home in Oskaloosa.

Early on Marsha worked various jobs, as she and Roger moved around the mid-west. They settled back in Oskaloosa and Marsha went to work at Imagine the Possibilities. On October 30, 2015, Marsha retired from her position as Financial Director at Imagine the Possibilities after 22 years.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, going on motorcycle trips with Roger, and trips to the casino to play the penny slot machines. Early in life she enjoyed gardening and canning. She will be remembered for always having a smile on her face and being friendly and welcoming to all.

Her family includes her husband of over 55 years, Roger Lynch of Oskaloosa; a daughter, Sherri Lynch of Florence, Alabama; two granddaughters and their husbands: Shawna (& Erik) Myers, and Kylee (& Matthew) Deleon; 3 great grandchildren: Evalyn Grace Deleon, Jakob and Hailey Myers; a sister, Nina Shrago of Cape Coral, Florida; a niece, Shera (& Nathan) Westercamp; a nephew, Jordan Shrago, and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Duane Wood; a brother in law, Steve Shrago; and a niece Arianne Dawn Shrago.

As was Marsha’s wish her body has been cremated and no visitation is planned.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
