K of C Coats for Kids to SIEDA

Oskaloosa Knights of Columbus Council 4108 presented new coats to SIEDA for distribution to Mahaska county youth. The coats were provided through the Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids Program.

Since 2009, the Knights of Columbus has distributed nearly 100,000 coats to kids throughout the United States and Canada. Headquartered in New Haven, CT, the Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic Fraternal organization in the world. It is a non-profit organization that donated over $158 million to charity in 2012. The Oskaloosa council is based in St. Mary’s parish in Oskaloosa.

The Southern Iowa Economic Development Association (SIEDA) is a non-profit community action agency that provides programs in areas of Family Development, Child Development, Housing Stabilization and Substance Abuse services. SIEDA serves seven counties in southern Iowa with administrative offices in Ottumwa and a Resource Center in Oskaloosa.
