Oskaloosa–William Penn University Athletics Director Greg Hafner is excited to announce that the Statesmen Athletics Department has agreed to partner with ‘The Swoosh’ for all of its apparel and footwear needs.

WPU has signed a four-year contract, beginning on July 1, to exclusively sport Nike brand apparel and footwear for all of its student-athletes, coaches, and support staff. The agreement was signed on with Sports Page (Pella, Iowa–215 SE 14th St.) and co-owner Phil Hemming.

“This is a win-win for all of our programs here at William Penn University,” Hafner said. “We feel like we can do more for our student-athletes and at the same time be equipped with great apparel.”

“We are excited to have Sports Page as our representative,” Hafner added. “This gives us uniformity across our athletics department and is going to be tremendous for our student-athletes, coaches, athletics department, and University as a whole.”

“We are really excited to work with William Penn University,” Hemming said. “We have assisted with several programs in the past, but to be unified across the board is tremendous. I have watched William Penn change over the last several years and this is just another step in solidifying all the excitement and growth of the University.”

“I know how important athletics is here at William Penn, so for the school to have the best apparel on the planet, I truly hope this helps in all respects, especially recruiting,” Hemming added. “This will be a great partnership for everyone involved.”

Founded 37 years ago, Sports Page currently has six stores throughout Central Iowa (Altoona, Ames, Grinnell, Marshalltown, and two in Pella). Hemming has been the co-owner in Pella for eight years.
