Oskaloosa–Cameron Foster (West Jordan, Utah, Business Management) capped off a terrific junior campaign with two more All-America honors from the sport’s most recognized organizations.

Foster was named a Second-Team All-American from the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association. The NCBCA gave out awards to 15 players with five members placed on the first, second, and honorable-mention squads.

Marshall Kent of Robert Morris (Ill.) earned Most Valuable Player accolades, while his teammate Kyle King was tabbed as Rookie of the Year. Mike Kubacki of Calumet-St. Joseph (Ind.) was the recipient of the Kerm Helmer Coach of the Year award.

Foster also collected an Honorable-Mention All-America nod from the Bowling Writers Association of America. Kent was also the BWAA’s Player of the Year, while four players were listed as runners-up. The Statesmen junior was one of three individuals to receive an honorable mention.

The awards are the second and third for Foster in his collegiate career after being recognized by the NAIA last month.

In 71 games this year, Foster posted a 211.1 average, including a season-high game of 269. The junior placed in the top 25 on eight occasions, including winning the Hoosier Classic in February. Foster ranked ninth in the nation as of the February 17 ranking on collegebowling.com
