Colin Johnson at What’s Up Wednesdays

The Mahaska County Extension office will be hosting Colin Johnson Swine Field Specialist at “What’s Up Wednesdays – Lunch and Learn” this Wednesday March 27; 11:45 am – 1:15 pm. At What’s Up Wednesday, ISUEO specialists and county staff will be available for informal conversations each Wednesday March – May. Bring your own lunch, have your questions answered, and join the conversation!

Colin Johnson serves as the swine field specialist for Mahaska and surrounding counties. A native of Wapello County, he has worked in the pork industry across the country and abroad. In his Extension role he provides educational assistance to pork producers, land owners, agribusiness representatives, consumers and media regarding issues associated with the swine industry. Whether it be production, environment, economic or social issues, Colin’s diverse ag expertise is valuable in guiding decision making on and off the farm. Iowa is an ideal place to raise pigs and Iowa State University’s research and extension programs offer many pork related resources.

Attendees would not need to attend the entire hour and half session. What’s up Wednesday is open to the public, and there is no cost to attend, and registration is not be required; but appreciated.
