Oskaloosa–Brittanee Grove (Sr., Runnells, Iowa, Elementary Education) was recognized for being a tremendous student and softball player Friday.

Grove garnered all-District 3 College Division recognition as part of the Capitol One Academic All-America program by CoSIDA. She was a member of the 15-person District 3 team that included student-athletes from several Midwestern states.

The all-district accolade recognizes student-athletes not only for their athletic prowess but also their successes academically. The College division includes institutions within the NAIA ranks as well as Canadian universities and two-year schools.

Grove, who owns a 3.87 Grade Point Average, was once again a major asset for William Penn. The first-team all-Midwest Collegiate Conference selection hit .380 (63-for-166) with 18 doubles, two triples, three home runs, 39 RBIs, and 32 runs scored. The senior posted a .566 slugging percentage and a .458 on-base clip.

To be eligible for the award, athletes must be of at least sophomore academic standing, be a starter or key reserve player (other playing requirements where applicable), maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full calendar year.
