PELLA—Three members of the Central College Wrestling team have been tabbed in this week’s

National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III rankings.

Central College senior Daniel Page (Tumwater, Wash.) is ranked for the fifth-straight week as Aaron Anderson (junior, Clarion, Clarion-Goldfield HS) stayed in the poll for the second week. Matt Seabold (sophomore, Burlington) was able to break into the rankings for the first time in his career.

The Dutch maintain a 4-1 dual record this season, after defeating the University of the Ozarks Tuesday night by a 52-3 margin.

Coming off winning the 125 pound bracket at the Central College Under Armour Invitational, Page (14-4) jumped up to No. 6 in the fifth installment of the NWCA rankings. A two-time NCAA Division III tournament qualifier, Page is the top-ranked Iowa Conference wrestler at 125 pounds.

Anderson (9-4) moves up to the No. 8 spot in this week’s rankings. The 133-pound junior has placed second at the Auggie Adidas Open and third at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Invitational this season. He has also gone a perfect 4-0 for the Dutch in duals.

Seabold (14-4) made his debut in the rankings at No. 10. The sophomore, in his first full season in a Central uniform, won the Central College Under Armour Invitational Saturday. He reeled off four straight wins, including a 6-4 decision in the 197-pound final over Truman State’s Helmut Rentschler.

There are four Iowa Conference teams ranked in the latest edition of the poll. Wartburg took over the No. 1 spot this week. Coe, Luther, and Loras maintained spots in the top 25 at No. 9, No. 18, and No. 25 respectively. Cornell College, also in the Central Region with the Iowa Conference schools, is No. 11. Central was ranked No. 29 in the previous poll, but is not included in this week’s edition.

The Dutch will return to the mats and get the chance to knock off a ranked Iowa Conference foe on the road Thursday night at Loras.
