Hearing loss is the 3rd most common Health problem in the U.S. Hearing loss currently affects more than 36 million Americans.

As part of Better Hearing Month, Mahaska Hearing Aid Center and Mayor David Krutzfeldt, have partnered to sign a proclamation to encourage the community to be more aware of their hearing health and to help raise awareness of the impact of hearing loss.

Hearing is our way of connecting with people and provides us with the ability relate with others. When you are hearing impaired it can affect many aspects of your life. Hearing loss can have broad implications that can go well beyond hearing alone. In fact, those who have difficulty hearing can experience such distorted and incomplete communication that it seriously impacts their professional and personal lives.

In recognition of Better Hearing month, Mahaska Hearing Aid Center is hosting a Lunch and Learn to help inform people about hearing loss, causes, and solution. We are encouraging everyone to get out and have their hearing evaluated as this is the first step in understanding your hearing health. Call Mahaska Hearing Aid Center at 641.673.5643 for more information on the Lunch and Learn.

Mahaska Hearing Aid Center is located at 714 A Avenue West in Oskaloosa and we have proudly served Mahaska County for 41 years. We are open Monday through Friday and would love to help you with any questions you have.
