Iowa Challenge #90
The Iowa Challenge mixed martial arts returns to the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds this Saturday October 12. This is the 90th installment of Iowa Challenge. It looks like a great line up as several area fighters are competing in this event. For starters the female match up between Sariah Wenger and Katie Mosley, Cody Dickerson makes his home debut, the much anticipated return of Lewis Opheim as well as a fighter named Scott Kinzebach looks to have yet another pro bout in front of his hometown crowd on Saturday. The big match up that has everyone talking has to be the title fight between Quincy’s Nick McClean (8-1 record, Extreme Challenge CHAMP) as he takes on local hero Wes Burk (8-2 TRUE REVOLUTION CHAMP) in the main event for the Iowa Challenge title. Other notable fighters on the card are Nathan Johnson, Chris Mabee, Devon Gibson, Scott Bradley, Mark Clubb, Kory Moegenburg and the father son combination of TJ (son) and John (father) Medina.

From Knoxville Iowa, The Ultimate Fighter Season 18 contestant Lee Sandmeier will be present. Lee made it on television as he fought to get into the Ultimate Fighter house and was seen on TV just over a month ago. The other guest will be UFC video game star, The Ultimate Fighter season 5 coach, first ever lightweight champion of the UFC, Jens lil evil Pulver.
