132nd Annual OACDG Awards Banquet seeks nominations

The 132nd Annual Awards Banquet is scheduled for Thursday, May 9, 2013 at The Peppertree Restaurant. In preparation for the banquet the Oskaloosa Area Chamber is requesting nominations for the following awards: Retail or Service Business of the Year, Industry of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Community Improvement Award, Educator of the Year and the Chuck Russell Historic Preservation Award. Please suggest nominations for & (reasons for) any of the above by April 12.
The banquet includes a social time, with a cash bar, live music by YouPlusMe and great appetizers, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The theme for the evening will be “Lollipop Lollipop” and fitting as well for the dessert auction to be held. The Annual Banquet will commence after auction, while enjoying your dessert, with several civic awards being presented. All OACDG members and guests are invited to attend the social time, but you must make reservations for the dinner by Monday, April 29. The menu includes your choice of prime rib, coconut shrimp, bruchetta chicken or bruchetta pasta. Each is served with salad, twice baked potato, dinner roll and beverage.
