Lunch & Learn: Social Media for Small Business

Lunch and LearnManage a Facebook page for your business, but like to see it go farther? Don’t know why or what for about Twitter? Join William Ottens, Director of the Oskaloosa Public Library, in a discussion about using social media to engage your customers and increase your online visibility.

On the surface, using social media websites like Facebook and Twitter for marketing seems simple, but many discover it to be a daunting and elusive task.

Learn about William’s team approach to a social media strategy that actively engages Facebook fans and Twitter followers. He’ll share tips, tools and strategies to manage your time and get positive results.

In addition to four years experience developing web and social media content for public libraries, William worked as a social media intern for a coffee shop in Lawrence, Kansas. When he’s not reading or working at the library, William blogs, tweets and manages a popular Tumblr called Librarian Problems.

The Business Improvement Committee of the Oskaloosa Area Chamber & Development Group would like to invite you to attend Wed., April 17 from noon to 1 pm at the Oskaloosa Public Library. Reservations are required for the $5 box lunch; no charge to attend without lunch. Call 641.672.2591.
