PELLA—Central College is 15th in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III poll.

The Dutch slipped one notch from the previous rankings released Dec. 19, despite not competing. Central (7-1) is back in action Thursday, facing Loras College (4-8) in a 7 p.m. dual at Dubuque. The Dutch host the Central Invitational Saturday, which is slated to begin at 9 a.m. at H.S. Kuyper Fieldhouse.

Iowa Conference foe Wartburg College (6-0) continues its reign at No. 1. Coe College (6-2) is steady at No. 8, Luther College (5-3) inched up two spots to No. 13 and the University of Dubuque (2-2) remains at No. 16.

Meanwhile, Augsburg College (Minn.) (2-0) dropped two spots to No. 4. Elmhurst College (Ill.) (5-0) and Cortland State (N.Y.) (9-0) each moved up one notch to Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.

Central’s earlier ranking of 14th was its highest of the season and the program’s top ranking since the Dutch were fifth in 1991-92.
