Mahaska Health Partnership Unveils Stork Report
MAHASKA COUNTY – Expecting? So is Mahaska Health Partnership! Starting this month, MHP will begin a Stork Report.
The Stork Report will keep moms-to-be informed of the progress on MHP’s new Birthing Center as it relates to theirown pregnancy. Participants will receive expert information from MHP obstetrics providers including OB/GYN Jeffrey Fowler, DO; and Family Practice Physicians Leigh Gilburn, DO; Ed Hirl, MD; Stephen Mineart, MD, and Shawn Richmond, MD.
“The Stork Report will be a fun way for us to interact with patients,” Dr. Fowler said. “Hopefully patients will appreciate receiving advice about their pregnancy from their local experts as we all look forward to the grand opening of our new birthing center in the fall.”
In addition to valuable information about pregnancy, the Stork Report will keep participants up-to-date on the Birthing Center being constructed as part of MHP’s new Patient Care Wing; with an anticipated opening nine months later. The new Birthing Center will have five labor-delivery suites complete with guest accommodations. Features include whirlpool tubs and personal refrigerators in addition to the amenities our patients currently enjoy, such as room service dining and free wifi.
Whether you’re expecting or just want to know more, join the Stork Report to stay informed of progress on MHP’s new Birthing Center. As an added bonus, those who sign up will receive a commemorative gift and be among of the first in the community to tour the new Birthing Center when it is complete.
”The new birthing center is anticipated to open in the fall of 2013,” Dr. Fowler said. “It will be so great to care for my patients in a state-of-the art facility that offers all of the comforts of home and more.”
