Great day at Edmundson for the Oskaloosa Invitational! The temperatures were great but the wind was strong and made for pretty tough conditions. It seemed to really affect the back 9 scores.

The senior banners were up for their final regular season tournament at Edmundson and the guys showed up to play and got 2nd place beating some really good teams. There were 16 teams competing with 96 total golfers. They shot a season low 319 finishing tied with Pella Christian but won the tiebreaker.

Johnathon Terpstra finished tied for 3rd with a 75, highlighted by 2 chip-in birdies. Ryan Carriker followed that up with a 78 in 11th place, Linus Morrison with an 81, tied for 16th. Carter Blanco and Maddux Ashman both had 85s with that being the difference for the tiebreaker (every score counts!) Nolan Scott shot 42 on the front 9 and struggled on the back 9.

This was good preparation for the sectional tourney in 2 weeks.

The JV also played, beating 2 varsity teams today! Griffin Snitker led the team with an 89 followed by Karter Flaherty with 93 and Meer Patel and Marshall Seibert with 95s. Cael Ashman had 98 and Tate Peterson 99. No century clubs!

Varsity will be back at it Thursday at The Preserve while JV will be off until next week.
