WPU Launches New Website with Advanced Features

William Penn University Athletics launched a new website this past week.

Oskaloosa–The William Penn University Athletic Communications Department, in partnership with PrestoSports, has launched its new website for Statesmen Athletics.

Remaining at its same URL name, www.statesmenathletics.com has undergone its second redesign (last one came in 2015) since WPU began its relationship with PrestoSports (then SIDHelp) in 2008.

In addition to being bright, sleek, and clean, the site does a is more efficient in highlighting sections for the Statesmen Sports Network, Hall of Fame, and Booster Club.

Fans will immediately notice a larger news rotator section at the top of the home page, while they should also enjoy easier access to videos and social media as they scroll downward.

Inside the individual sports’ pages, the most dramatic change is the opportunity to view rosters in both list and now grid format, while the history links (within schedules) are also more advanced. Each individual content can be expanded to display more information as well.

The redesign provides a responsive design that offers viewing on all platform levels including desktop, tablet, and mobile.

“We continue to enjoy our partnership with PrestoSports and are proud of the work that both parties have done over the past few months to launch this new site,” Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Wade Steinlage said. “In addition to getting a new look, this site will allow fans to find content even easier than before. I am excited about what we have done and hope our fans enjoy it as well.”

As with any new endeavor, there is the possibility that some bugs may need to be worked out. If any issues are noticed, please contact the Athletic Communications office at 641-673-1025 or at steinlagew@wmpenn.edu
