Regional Housing Trust Fund Has New Look Since Early 2010

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The RHTF or Regional Housing Trust Fund for Area 15 Regional Planning states that it’s mission is “The mission of the AHEAD RHTF is to promote the creation and preservation of affordable housing for low to moderate income households in our region.”

If you or someone you know is in need of financial assistance with funding projects around your home such as: Basic Home repairs that include, toofs, windows, siding and doors. Other things like heating and cooling, plumbing issues including water heaters or to help make your home more accessible for those individuals with needs helping to provide exterior ramps.

The group helps to provide low interest loans up to $7,500 per housing rehabilitation project or $6,000 per Urgent Repair. “Projects and activities funded by the RHTF will serve households with incomes at or below 80% of the HUD median family income guideline, with at least 30% of project dollars used to benefit extremely low income households (< 30% median income).” is how the Area 15 Regional Planning website explains just some of the guidelines needed in order to qualify.
