Arterburn has initial appearance

Bradley William Arterburn had his initial day in court on the 20th of June, 2011.

In the affidavit signed by Oskaloosa Police Officers, On Sunday, June 19th, 2011, at approximately 8:38 p.m. officers of the Oskaloosa Police Department were dispatched to 1106 North 4th street in Oskaloosa, Iowa, in reference to a stabbing.

A police investigation revealed that the above defendant stabbed, slashed, and cut another subject known as Robert Henry Horovitz. As a result, the injuries to the victim caused him to bleed to death.

Arterburn’s preliminary hearing is set for June 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.

The affidavit used was also the arrest warrant for Arterburn stating it “shall be an ARREST WARRANT”.

No bond shall be acceptable at this time, and was signed by the Judge at 12:58 a.m.

Arterburn is being charged with First Degree Murder, a Class A Felony that is punishable by life in prison.

A criminal charge is merely a criminal charge and not an indication of guilt. All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
