Two Dutch women soccer seniors named honorable mention all-conference

PELLA— Forward Erin Manion (senior, Delafield, Wis., Kettle Moraine HS) and midfielder Elise Askelsen (senior, Indianola) were cited as honorable mention selections to the American Rivers all-conference team Tuesday afternoon.

Manion was a first team all-conference pick in 2016, 2017, 2018 and Askelsen was also honorable mention in 2017.

Manion scored two goals in eight league matches and chipped in with an assist for a team-high five points. Nine of her 26 shot attempts in those matches were on frame and she paced the team with 680 minutes.

Askelsen notched the game-winning goal for Central in a 3-0 victory against Buena Vista University on October 29. She started in all eight league matches and played a total of 629 minutes.

Central finished the season with a 6-10-2 overall record and 1-6-1 in the conference.
