GRINNELL, Iowa – After an impressive week on the soccer field, Jordan Maddaus ’19 of Grinnell College has been rewarded for her efforts.

Maddaus, a forward from Minneapolis, Minn. (Benilde-Saint Margarets), has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Maddaus celebrated Senior Day in impressive fashion Saturday, recording a hat trick in the Pioneers’ 6-0 blanking of Illinois College. Maddaus’ goal total and shots total of seven were career-bests as Grinnell finished the contest with 48 shots, 11th-best in program history.

Maddaus also had an assist in the game and a goal earlier in the week in a 2-1 win over Cornell College. She leads the team in goals this season with nine as the Pioneers went 7-2 in the MWC, their most league wins since the 2012 season.

The MWC Defensive Player of the Week was Jo Hendriksen of Lake Forest College.
