GRINNELL’S TAYLOR NAMED MWC PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Jack Taylor ’15 has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Basketball Performer of the Week.
Taylor, from Black River Falls, Wis. (Black Rivers), helped the Pioneers to a pair of crucial MWC road wins over the past week.
In a 121-115 victory at Monmouth College, he poured in 27 points with the aid of 6-of-8 shooting from the field and an 11-of-15 performance from the free throw line. He also had two assists.
Taylor followed that up with a 22-point performance in which he drained 12-of-13 free throws. He also recorded a game-high three steals. The nation’s leading scorer is averaging 31.8 points per outing.
The MWC Women’s Performer of the Week is Heidi Van Sistine of St. Norbert College.
