Five-Spot Jump Moves Statesmen to 15th
Oskaloosa–The William Penn football team continues to move upward as the NAIA released its second top-25 poll Monday.
The Statesmen (3-1), who defeated Missouri Baptist 51-20 last Saturday, improved five positions to #15 in the nation with 149 points.
With Grand View falling to Marian (Ind.) over the weekend, Morningside is the new #1 with 340 points and 14 first-place votes. Baker (Kan.) is second with the final first-place vote, while Tabor (Kan.), Faulkner (Ala.), and Carroll (Mont.) round out the top five.
The Midwest League is also represented by #9 Grand View and #13 Saint Xavier (Ill.).
WPU returns home Saturday for the first time in almost a month, hosting Taylor (Ind.) at 1 p.m. for Homecoming.
