GRINNELL’S SILVERMAN NAMED MIDWEST CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Elle Silverman ’15 of Falls Church, Va. (George Mason) has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week.

Silverman played a key role as the Pioneers posted two shutouts over the weekend. They handed Monmouth College their first MWC loss with a 1-0 victory and then blanked Coe College 2-0 in non-conference play. Grinnell now has eight shutouts on the season.

The MWC Offensive Performer of the Week is Katie Vanden Avond of St. Norbert College.
